Do you have certain foods that you associate with the holidays? One I associate with the Christmas season is sausage balls. Of course, you can have them any time of the year, but there’s just something awesome about having a couple of warm sausage balls for breakfast, serving as a simple app at holiday gatherings, or even grabbing one straight out of the refrigerator, or as an on-the-go snack.
Sausage Balls – 3 Ingredient Goodness
1 pound sausage
2 cups of baking mix
2 cups shredded cheddar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Simply mix the sausage and baking mix together with your hands. Once combined, work the cheese in. You can do it all at one time, but I have found that it works better to do one at a time.
Roll out into walnut sized balls and placed on baking sheet. I hate having things stick so I line the baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Everything comes up smoothly and clean up is a breeze.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Serve warm or cool and store in the refrigerator in airtight container. Can be warmed in microwave.
These would make a great little morning thank you for your child’s bus driver or crossing guard.
